The mission of our civic association is to improve the situation of children and families at risk in the Czech Republic.
- We are supporting children and young people growing up in institutional care.
- We focus on the development of alternative family care and social work with families.
- We offer training to social workers, local government, state government and non-profit organizations.
We strive to find innovative approaches and partners, who want to develop and work on changing the system of care for children and families in the Czech Republic with.
An important part of our work is to, through education and research, contribute to a higher professional level of work with families at risk and foster parents.
We want to raise a dialogue between government, non-profit organizations and public on issues of children living outside family environment.
In the implementation of our projects we pursue scientific and conceptual approach to the problems to which are children living outside their birth family is exposed (emotional deprivation, the problems associated with education and the success on the labour market, housing and livelihood).
Team members are experienced project managers and experts on the issues of youth at risk, multi-problem families, fostering and institutional care.
We cooperate with Charles University and other institutions committed to such issues, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
